What the app does

Photograph the front and, if you like, the back. Our own AI model suggests the country, denomination and year, and you confirm or correct it before the coin goes into your collection. No coin in the photo? The app rejects it instead of guessing.

How the recognition works

Result screen in the app: Wilhelmina 1 gulden, 1929, Netherlands, uncommon, estimated value €18, with the Add to collection button.

No. 01

Everything the catalogue knows

Each confirmed coin is matched to the Numista world coin catalogue: official obverse and reverse pictures, metal, weight, diameter, mintage, designer, description and background story. Search the whole catalogue and filter by country, year, metal, value and rarity. For silver, gold and platinum coins you also see the melt value at the spot price.

Euro collecting mode

Every €2 commemorative coin since 2004 in one checklist. See what you own and what is still missing, filter by country and year, and add a coin to your collection with one tap. The list comes from the European Central Bank.

No. 03

Value, condition and rarity

See the catalogue price per condition, from VG to UNC, in euros. Get a condition estimate on the Sheldon scale, an estimate rather than a certified grade. Rarity is derived from the mintage of that year.

A reference value, not a sale price or an offer. What a buyer pays depends on condition, demand and where you sell.

Your collection, organised

Keep as many collections as you like: by country, era or theme. See the total value at a glance, filter by recent, high value or rare, and export everything to CSV.

Collection screen in the app: total value €1,856 for 4 coins in 2 collections, search, filters and gold 10 guilder coins from 1912 (€610) and 1897 (€1,150).

What the app does not do

Better to be honest now than to disappoint you later:

iPhone
Android first, iOS after that.
Offline
recognition and prices need an internet connection.
Certified grading
the Sheldon grade is an estimate from your photos. For a certified grade, use PCGS or NGC.
An accuracy figure
we have not measured recognition on a large, public test set, so we do not quote a percentage.

See the plans or read how it works.
