How scanning works on Android
Open AI Coin Collector, point your camera at a coin, and capture the obverse and reverse. The app sends the photos to our own AI vision model, which interprets the design, inscriptions, and date the way an expert would. You get the result as a suggestion: check the country and value, and adjust them if needed before saving.
Within moments you get the coin’s identification, an estimated grade on the Sheldon 1–70 scale, and a value based on the Numista catalogue price per grade. From the result screen you can file the coin straight into your collection.

Tips for better scans with a phone camera
Android phones vary enormously in camera quality, but technique matters more than hardware. Place the coin on a plain, non-reflective background, use bright indirect light rather than direct flash, and fill the frame with the coin while keeping it in focus. Slightly angling the light can reveal detail on worn coins that a straight-on shot flattens.
If the suggestion looks off, retake the photo rather than accepting a shaky match — a ten-second retake with better lighting fixes most misidentifications.

AI Coin Collector on Android is free to start: the free plan includes daily free scans and has no ads or tracking. When you want more, Premium is handled through Google Play billing, so payment works through the account you already have and can be managed or cancelled in the Play Store like any other subscription.

You can download or delete your data at any time.
